Dr. Ayodeji Muyideen Awolaja
Acting Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences
Ayodeji Muyideen Awolaja, Ph.D. is an accomplished scholar, researcher, and academic administrator in the field of Business Administration with over fifteen years of university teaching, research, and leadership experience. He is an Associate Professor (Reader) in the Department of Business Administration at Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria, where he has made significant contributions to teaching, research, postgraduate supervision, and institutional development.
He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Ekiti State University, an M.Sc. in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management, and a B.Sc. in Business Administration from Olabisi Onabanjo University. His areas of expertise include Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, Organisational Behaviour, Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Consumer Behaviour, with research interests spanning workforce diversity and inclusion, organisational culture, employee commitment and retention, sustainability, digital transformation, strategic orientation, and SME performance.
Dr. Awolaja has taught numerous undergraduate and postgraduate courses and has successfully supervised master’s and doctoral candidates across various areas of Business Administration. His scholarly output includes over seventy peer-reviewed journal articles and conference papers published in reputable national and international journals. He has also presented research findings at prestigious academic conferences within Nigeria and abroad and was a recipient of the 2025 TETFund Institutional-Based Research Grant.
Beyond his research and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Awolaja has demonstrated exceptional academic leadership through several administrative roles, including Acting Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, Acting Head of the Department of Business Administration, MBA Programme Coordinator, Faculty Chairman of the Admissions and Scholarship Committee of the College of Postgraduate Studies, Managing Editor of an international academic journal, and Departmental Examination Officer. His professional contributions reflect a strong commitment to academic excellence, quality assurance, institutional governance, and capacity building.
As an active researcher and member of professional bodies, Dr. Awolaja continues to contribute to advancing knowledge in management sciences through impactful research, mentorship, interdisciplinary collaboration, and evidence-based solutions to contemporary organisational and societal challenges.
